Which parts are important for making such a plan?
Garden diagram Draw a clear diagram of your garden, preferably to scale. A good diagram will help you understand the garden you have and the garden you want to lay out. Walk through your garden in the twilight and decide where you want which light. Where will your future lighting have to provide a different ambience? Are there special trees, bushes or flowers in your garden that you want to emphasize? Bear in mind that your terrace will also need adjusted lighting if you want to enjoy long and convivial summer nights. With just the right lighting, even your fence can become a real eye-catcher.
Decide where you want your lighting to be Atmosphere, safety & security and prevention are important considerations here. Create a beautiful lighting plan for atmospheric and orientational lighting. Doing so enables you to strike a balance between the different sources of light to turn your night-time garden into a fairy tale.
Different sorts Use spotlights, ground spots, standing lamps and wall lamps for a play of light at different levels.
Suslight's tips

Cable plan Finally, you need a cable plan. We call this a 24 Volt cable system. It sounds complicated, but it is really easy.
What is needed?
- 1 splashproof socket,
- 1 transformer (use 80% of the lamp wattage),
- Cables to bridge the distance between the luminaires,
- T-connectors to connect the luminaires to the cables,
- A time switch or twilight switch to determine when the lights stay on.
The advantages of garden lighting with the 24 Volt cable system:
Safety The 24 Volt DC cable system guarantees maximum safety for people and animals, both during installation and in use. With an IP rating of 68, the (ground) cables are waterproof.
Longer distances With 24 volts, a long distance is easily covered without a heavy transformer. Also, 24 Volt has lower voltage losses over the same cable and distance than 12 Volt has. The system can be flexibly expanded at any time; the total power may not exceed 150 watts. The luminaires can be placed up to 300 metres away from the power source. Our LED components operate on a voltage range of around 3, 6, 9 or 12 Volts. 24 Volt offers reliability and stability of operation; this is because it creates a much larger range within which voltage losses may occur.
Easy installation Our Quick Safe Connect system makes for an easy installation without the need for an electrician to install our lights and no unsightly connection boxes. Our Quick Safe Connect system makes it very easy to add extra lights to an outdoor space at a later date. In addition, unlike with mains voltage lighting, it is very easy to replace a fitting.
